Combined Credentials

The Multiple Subjects, Single Subject and Education Specialist Programs have been designed to facilitate the earning of both the Single Subject and Education Specialist or the Multiple Subjects and Education Specialist Credentials.

Education Specialist Candidates also seeking a Multiple Subjects Credential, must meet Subject Matter requirements for the Multiple Subjects Credential, complete two additional quarters of student teaching in a Multiple Subjects classroom (TED 429) and pass the RICA exam.

Education Specialist Candidates also seeking a Single Subject Credential, must meet the Single Subject Matter requirements, complete two quarters of additional student teaching in the appropriate Single Subject classroom (TED 437) and (TED 434) Secondary Curriculum Methods (4) and the appropriate Secondary Student Teaching Seminar to accompany student teaching.
