Special Education Emphasis
The Master of Arts in Education is an advanced degree offered at Cal Poly Pomona. A minimum of 45 quarter units of acceptable graduate level work must be completed to earn the
degree. Thirty-two (32) units of course work must be taken in residency. The Master of Arts (with emphasis in Special Education) Degree offers advanced preparation in the areas of mild/moderate and moderate/severe disabilities. The degree program’s required and elective special education courses are closely related to course requirements in the Preliminary Level I Credential and the Professional Level II Credential Courses.
