The Arts and the IGE Program
The fine and performing arts provide an integrated and powerful perspective into the nature of human beings and cultures. The IGE Program seeks, as a stated learning goal and outcome, to provide learning experiences that contribute to the understanding and appreciation of aesthetic experiences. We accept the challenge of integrating concerts, exhibits, and plays with classroom instruction and course curriculum. We view these aesthetic experiences as opportunities to illuminate and enrich the central themes of the IGE Program.
