College of Education & Integrative Studies
For the purpose of completing field work in the public schools as a part of our teacher credentialing program, you will need to be live scan finger printed. You are encouraged to take care of this requirement prior to enrolling or while enrolling in the following courses: TED 105, TED 405, TED 406, TED 432, or TED 443. Waiting until a field work course begins and then getting Live Scan finger printed delays your access to the schools and you could lose as much as two weeks time observing or participating in the field. An informational document and the actual "Request for Live Scan Service" form follow.

Hit “Direct Application (Non-Recommendation Only)” and pay appropriate fees. When they e-mail you the result of clearance, which will take anywhere between 3-14 days, you will need to print out the clearance result and bring it to class. Show your proof to your Cal Poly Pomona professor and she/he will give you a green letter of introduction signed by the College Dean that allows you access to the assigned public school grounds for observations or participation in classrooms.
